‘Prisoner Of The Honky Tonk”
Grupo Vida, also known as The Electric Cowboys, are fixing to
release their first Country album.
The album entitled, “Prisoner Of The Honky Tonk”
is scheduled to be released sometime this October.
Their first single to hit the airwaves is entitled “Because I Love You”, A heart wrenching song that displays regret, and pleading for a new beginning after realizing his mistake.
“Because I Love you” is originally a song that was featured on The Electric Cowboys album, entitled “ Porque Te Quiero”.
“Porque Te Quiero” Is Spanish for “Because I Love You”
Since the group has always seen Tejano, and Country alike, with the exception of the words.., this song is perfect proof of just that.
The songs in this album are so amazingly heart felt that I thought I would ask the guys their secret…….
Lead Guitarist and Song Writer, Jason Martinez, replies:
“When it’s a place where you have been, or a place where you are at presently, it’s easy for you to feel, because at some point in your life you have been there.
When I write music, I write with my heart in hand. We love to make music based on personal experiences…so that our fans can relate. After-all their the reason we are here. Our fans are what mean the most to us!

Grupo Vida Attended the 47'th annual American Grammy Awards on
February 13'th in L.A. California. Grupo Vida's CD Entitled
Vida - Vivo was nominated for album of the year at the Grammy's.
Vida had to say it was an awesome experience and hopes to
attend next year again.
